Leak detection:

The location of the burst pipe is often visible however this is not always the case. In some instances there are no visible signs of a burst pipe and the problem is only discovered due to a high water usage reading. When the location of the burst pipe is not known, or for more difficult problems, it is necessary to carry out further exploratory work with the leak detection equipment. This involves pressurising the water lines which then forces air bubbles through the faulty section of pipework. With the use of the sophisticated sounding equipment, these air bubbles can then be heard and we can accurately detect the location of the problem. We are equipped with the latest technology in leak detection and sounding gear and have plumbers that have been specifically trained in this field.
