Natural gas service installations
Once Natural Gas has been connected at your property, it will be necessary to engage the services of a certified gas fitter to install your gas pipework and appliances. It will first be necessary to select your new gas appliances and their proposed locations. Our licenced gas fitter will then install the gas pipework from your Natural Gas meter to the locations of your gas appliances. The natural gas appliances including hot water systems, cooktops, ovens, stoves and heaters are then connected to the gas line, tested and commissioned to ensure they are working correctly. Upon completion of all new natural gas installations our gas fitter will issue a gas compliance certificate to certify the installation has been installed according to the current gas regulations.
LPG bottle installations
LPG is supplied in bottles which can be installed near your gas appliances therefore reducing the amount of pipework required. In some instances, LPG can prove to be a faster and economical new gas installation as it does not require running pipework from a gas meter to the property. Our gas fitters can assist with all your LPG bottle installation enquires as it is also important to note that their location is also dependent on the current gas regulations g. cannot be installed near a source of ignition and windows. Once the LPG bottles are installed, the LPG appliances including hot water systems, cooktops, ovens, stoves and heaters are then connected to the gas line, tested and commissioned to ensure they are working correctly. Upon completion of all new LPG installations our licensed gas fitter will issue a gas compliance certificate which certifies the installation has been installed according to the current gas regulations.
Gas Compliance certificates are issued following the commissioning of a gas service. This is necessary whenever installing an appliance, making alterations to a gas line, fixing a gas leak or extending pipework. In order to ensure your gas system is safe, we are obligated to check the entire system for defects and conduct a gas pressure test on completion. Some of the most common defects include unrestrained gas bottles, small leaks and faulty appliances. If you have new pipework or and appliance installed, you may also be issued with a gas compliance plate which will be positioned inside your electrical meter box. Gas plates and certificates are requested when refilling L.P.G. bottles or during gas audits.
