QLD Energy Rebate: Unlocking Savings on Your Electricity Bill
Brisbane residents, there’s exciting news on the horizon! The Queensland state government has rolled out a new Qld energy rebate program to make energy-efficient appliances, including hot water systems, more accessible to households. This initiative aims to help more Brisbane homes enjoy the cost-saving and environmental benefits of modern, energy-saving appliances.
Key Details of the New Qld Energy Rebate Program
Rebate Amount and Availability
Starting this September, Brisbane households can take advantage of up to $1,000 rebates to invest in energy-efficient appliances, including hot water systems. The Queensland Government has set aside a budget of $22 million for this program. However, it’s essential to note that each household is eligible for just one rebate, which cannot surpass the total cost of the chosen appliance.
Eligibility Criteria
Rebates of between $300 and $1,000 will be available for eligible Queensland householders who replace old appliances with 4 star-rated (or higher) appliances and hot water systems from 4 September 2023 until the program closes.
To check eligibility requirements, please check the Queensland Government Website – https://www.epw.qld.gov.au/about/initiatives/climate-smart-energy-savers. You can register your interest for the program.
